Richard Leppert is Morse Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professor in Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of Minnesota. He has published numerous books on music and visual culture. Here he discusses his more recent research in film music and the publication of the book, Beyond the Soundtrack.
